Nemacolin Woodlands Resort Planner Guide - page 6

The Nemacolin Field Club
Woven throughout 140 acres of woodlands, valleys and pastures of the Laurel Highlands Mountains, The
Nemacolin Field Club complex houses one of the nation’s top sporting clays facilities and is the gateway to some
of the finest fishing streams and creeks in the Eastern United States.
THE SHOOTING ACADEMY
Featuring 35 sporting clay stations spread across three courses, towers and a five stand pavilion with an
integrated Wobble Trap Field, the course can be tailored to challenge everyone from the most seasoned wing
shooter to the novice shooter. We invite you to spend an hour or afternoon on our course. You will be amazed at
how much your confidence grows with each shot. First time shooters are guaranteed to break targets with the
help of our National Sporting Clay Association (NSCA) certified male and female instructors.
ORVIS® FLY FISHING CENTER
The Orvis® Endorsed Fly Fishing Center at The Nemacolin Field Club is in a class by itself. Anglers can choose
from a number of Pennsylvania trout streams including the Youghiogheny River, a waterway that flows north
from Maryland and flows into the Monongahela just before it joins with the Allegheny to form the Ohio River.
There is also Meadow Run, Dunbar Creek and Beaver Creek, where brown, brook and rainbow trout swim
in numbers. Half and Full-Day Guided Trips, Fly Fishing Casting and Fly Tying Lessons are available. From
beginners to experienced anglers, your experience here will be one of a lifetime!
GROUP UPLAND BIRD PACKAGES
From beginner to experienced hunters, our Upland Bird Hunts are offered September through April and
include experienced and professional guides accompanied by a hunt dog on a private area located off property.
A portion of this private area is planted with strips of grain shorghum and groomed for a more relaxed hunt,
while the remaining acres are natural growth for a more wild hunt experience. The Hunt begins at the Field
Club with transportation provided to the hunt location. We offer a variety of species including Pheasants and
Chukars and abide by the standards of the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
